CURRENT STATUS:
Since its inception, the Department has offered elective courses but has not yet produced any graduates. However, it has a promising number of students who will have a major in Psychology in the coming years.

DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES:
Following are the activities the Department of Psychology have taken during the past year:
1) Webinar on Suicide prevention:
A webinar on the theme "Creating Hope through Action" was organized on the 24th and 25th September 2021. The webinar was organized in collaboration with the Department of Education. The resource persons were Lalropuii Ph.D., Counseling Psychologist, Founder Black Olives, and Rev. Dr. H. Lalthlamuana, Associate Professor AICS. The objective was to raise awareness and educate the students on a communal action towards suicide prevention.
2) Poster making Competition:
The theme of the Poster making Competition was “Creating Hope through Action”. There were 17 entries. The prizes distributed were as follows:
a) 1st Prize: Rs 1000 + e-certificate
b) 2nd Prize: Rs 800 + e-certificate
c) 3rd Prize: Rs 500 + e-certificate
d) Consolation prizes: Rs 250 to all participants.
