BASIC HARDWARE COURSE
OBJECTIVE:
To impart practical knowledge and develops students' skills in diagnosis and troubleshooting of computer systems, as well as in the performance of computer operations since BCA curriculum do not cover Computer Hardware courses. It is mainly design for the student of Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA).
DURATION:
The program will be Two Hour Every day for One Month. The month will be chosen by the Department of Computer Science in consultation with the Technician.
SYLLABUS:
1. Study/Demonstration of Different Hardware Units: Motherboard, Chipset (Intel & AMD), Controller, BIOS, Internal IDE component, SATA, Boot Process, Computer Memory (DDR1, DDR2, DDR3, DDR4 of RAM), LAN Card, Drives (Magnetic, SSD), CPU, Multi USB, CD/DVD Drive, Sound card, VGA, SVGA, HDMI, NIC, etc.
2. Assemble and Disassemble of Computer: Desktop Computer System and Laptop Computer.
3. Installation of Operating System: Windows 7, Windows 10, Linux: Fresh Installation and by using Symantec Ghost. Hiren’s boot CD. Heat Sink and Thermal Paste
4. Installation of Printer: Printer Driver and Test Printing
5. Maintenances and Troubleshooting
6. Safety and Preventive Maintenance
7. Data Recovery
