Schedule for Re-opening and Commencement of ODD Semester 2026
This is to notify all concerned that the schedule for the re-opening of the Institute and the commencement of the ODD Semester 2026 shall be observed as follows:
1. 08 July 2026 (Wednesday)
- The Institute shall officially re-open for the ODD Semester 2026.
- All non-teaching staff are required to report for duty.
- A staff devotion programme shall be conducted in the Principal’s Office at 09:30 A.M.
- 2nd Year and 3rd Year resident students (hostellers) are required to report to and occupy their respective hostels.
2. 09 July 2026 (Thursday)
- All teaching staff shall report to the campus for institutional cleanliness drives and semester preparedness activities.
- Departmental meetings shall be convened during the forenoon session, followed by departmental planning and related academic activities in the afternoon.
- 1st Year resident students (hostellers) are required to report to and occupy their respective hostels.
3. 10 July 2026 (Friday)
- Regular classes for the ODD Semester 2026 shall commence in accordance with the Academic Calendar prescribed by Mizoram University (MZU).
Important Notes
(a) A staff devotion programme shall be held at the Conference Hall at 09:30 A.M. on 09 July 2026. With effect from 10 July 2026, the institutional working schedule and timings observed during the previous semester shall resume.
(b) All Residence Guides and other residential staff members are required to report for duty at least one day prior to the arrival of students to ensure adequate hostel preparedness.
(c) Departmental In-Charges entrusted with the preparation of class timetables are requested to complete and finalize the same well in advance to facilitate smooth implementation from 10 July 2026.
(d) Students who are unable to report to and occupy their respective hostels as scheduled shall promptly inform the Principal and obtain prior approval. Failure to report such absence or delay may be treated as a disciplinary matter and shall be subject to appropriate action by the Discipline Committee in accordance with the Institute's rules and regulations.
All concerned are requested to take note of the above schedule and comply accordingly.
