Foundation of SC Girls’ Hostel at HATIM Campus, Kawmzawl, Lunglei

The foundation of the SC Girls’ Hostel at the Higher and Technical Institute, Mizoram (HATIM) Campus, Kawmzawl, was laid by Pi Lalrinpuii, Hon’ble Minister, Social Welfare Department, Government of Mizoram.

The programme was chaired by Rev. R. C. Lalthanzama, Director, Education Department, with an invocation prayer by Rev. Dr. H. Lalthlamuana, General Secretary.

Pi Lalzarmawii, IAS, highlighted the importance of the hostel for students from across Mizoram, describing it as a safe and valuable facility. Rev. Vanlalmuankima, Associate General Secretary, expressed gratitude for God’s continued provision and government support in establishing this much-needed project.

Funded by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (PM-AJAY) with a total of ₹552 lakhs, the hostel will be completed within two years (November 2025 – October 2027) and will consist of two floors covering 777.60 sq. meters (8370.02 sq. feet).

In her address, Hon’ble Minister Pi Lalrinpuii encouraged ongoing cooperation between the government and the church to strengthen education and assured continued support for such initiatives.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. R. Lalnunthara, Principal, HATIM, and a benediction prayer by Rev. K. Lalnunsanga, Director, Worship Department, BCM.
