Two-Day Workshop on “Using MS Word for Academic Writings and Citation Styles for
UG Students”
The Department of Philosophy, in collaboration with the Academic and Career Counselling Cell, organized a Two-Day Workshop on “Using MS Word for Academic Writings and Citation Styles for UG Students” on 30th and 31st October 2025 at the IT Center, HATIM.
The sessions were conducted by Dr. John C. Lalduhsaka, Assistant Professor, Department of
Philosophy, HATIM. The workshop aimed to helpundergraduate students develop essential skills in academic writing, document formatting, and citation management using Microsoft Word. It included practical demonstrations on formatting academic papers, inserting references, and preparing bibliographies using various citation styles such as APA and MLA.
Students from the departments of Commerce, Education, History, and Psychology actively participated in the event. The workshop was well-received, and participants shared positive feedback, describing it as an informative and enriching experience that will greatly benefit their academic work.
A continuation of the workshop will be held in the next academic session, featuring participation from the Departments of English and Philosophy.
