The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) 105 organised by 2nd Mizoram Batallion, National Cadet Coprs (NCC) was held for the first time in Lunglei from 7th to 16th December 2024 at the HATIM Campus, Kawmzawl, Pukpui. This camp brought together 210 cadets from various institutions across Mizoram, including:

• Higher and Technical Institute, Mizoram (HATIM)

• Lunglei Govt College (LGC)

• Govt J. Buana College

• Govt Siaha College

• Govt Hnahthial College

• Govt Kamalanagar College

• Don Bosco School (Siaha)

• Don Bosco School (Lawngtlai)

• Don Bosco School (Bualpui NG)

• JNV Serchhip

• Baptist Higher Secondary School

• Govt High School, Lunglei

• Govt High School, New Siaha

• Sacred Heart School

Activities Conducted:

1. Drill and Parade: Cadets practiced disciplined marching techniques and formations.

2. Weapon Training and Firing: Provided hands-on experience with firearms and safety protocols.

3. Physical Training (PT): Rigorous sessions to build endurance and fitness.

4. Ex-PA Cadet Training: Focused on:

• Benefits of joining the NCC.

• Public speaking and effective communication.

• Teamwork and collaboration.

5. Mental Health and Hygiene Classes: Discussions aimed at promoting mental well-being and personal care.

6. Evening Sports Sessions: Fostered camaraderie and relaxation among cadets.

The CATC was a resounding success, offering cadets a holistic training experience that emphasized discipline, skills, and teamwork. For HATIM cadets, the camp was especially momentous as they embarked on their NCC journey, learning invaluable lessons that will benefit them in their academic and personal lives. This event also strengthened the bond between institutions and highlighted the importance of NCC in shaping young minds.

This camp was particularly significant for HATIM cadets as it marked their first enrolment in the HATIM NCC unit. The cadets had the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities designed to enhance their discipline, teamwork, and overall development.
