Block Placement (Field Practicum) organized by Department of Social Work

The Department of Social Work, HATIM organised Block Placement (Field Practicum) for the 6th semester every year in which they have to do their fieldwork outside of Lunglei town.
This year, the 2021-2024 batch went to different agencies located in and outside of Mizoram such as Shillong and Nagaland as well. This placement will last for 15 days in which the students have various objectives to achieve during their fieldwork.
The objective of this block placement is to profile the agency, to understand the program and services, to inculcate social work knowledge/theory into practice, to develop social work intervention strategies.
Here are the list of agencies in which the students are doing their placement.

2. Youth Net, Kohima and Dimapur
3. Bethany Society, Shillong
4. Impulse NGO, Shillong
5. Women and Child Development, Hnahthial
6. MHIP Sub Headquarters, Lawngtlai
7. Mizoram State Aids Control Society, Aizawl
8. Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Centre, Aizawl
