COLLEGE DAY-CUM-FRESHERS’ DAY
We were graced with another chance to celebrate our annual college day-cum-freshers’ day. This auspicious event was celebrated on the 14th of July in honor of our founding Principal, Dr. Chawngthanpari; on the account that the 14th fell on a Sunday this year.
The Freshers’ programme was framed and taken up the HATIM Students’ Council OB Members. The programme commenced with a short devotion led by the Vice chairman of HSC, Max Lalkhawliana. The senior students (second and third year) gave a show of talents in welcoming their newly admitted freshers. The items were performed department-wise (B.A., B.C.A., B. Com and B.S.W.). Each department were allotted a time-frame of 10-minutes during which students revealed their creativity, colorful talents and outstanding skills; whether it be acting, dancing, singing and more.
We were also blessed with an inspiring speech from our current Principal, Mr. Vuansanga Vanchhawng. A token of thanksgiving was presented by the General Secretary of HSC, Z.D. Lalnuntluanga. The programme ended with a word of prayer by the Chaplain, Immanuel Lalruatsanga.
The programme turned out to be a super success, thanks to all the performances and talents of art displayed. But none could have been any success without the presence of our talented comperes, Mr. C.B. Laltlanchhuaha and Miss Remruatpuii. Last but not least, we were thankful to God as the AV Department of B.C.M for the media coverage.
