Faculty and Student Exchange Programme between Lunglei Government College & Higher and Technical Institute, Mizoram (HATIM)

The Faculty and Student Exchange programme between HATIM and Lunglei Government College was successfully organised as a two- day programme on the 19th and 20th of August, 2024, to provide a platform for students to experience, engage and learn more about philosophy. The differences and similarities of the new National Education Policy and Choice Based Credit System syllabus were also incorporated in the class lecture.
Faculties of the Department of Philosophy, HATIM, along with the 5th semester visited the host institution, LGC, for the exchange programme. The faculties of HATIM taught paper in the 1st semester (NEP) & 3rd semester (NEP) along with one class in the 5th semester (CBCS). In all, 7 classes were taken by HATIM faculties and the faculties of LGC took 8 classes in the 5th semester.
In total, 24 students from LGC and HATIM participated in the two-day exchange programme. Students were alert, attentive and interactive in the class. A feedback form on teacher’s performances were also distributed to students for evaluation and commentary.
On the second day, in addition to normal class lectures, a ‘career talk/guidance’ was held where Dr. John C Lalduhsaka, Head of Department, HATIM, was the Resource Person. The students showed deep interest and enthusiasm during the session which was evident from their active participation. The student and faculty participation was 100%.
The programme was ended with a Vote of thanks by Mr. Zonunsanga Colney, Assistant Professor, LGC, followed by a photo session.
